Southern Link Upgrade - Abigroup Contractors
The Southern Link Upgrade Project is an Alliance between Abigroup Contractors, Transurban limited and Maunsell Australia formed to design and construct an additional driving lane in each direction of the existing Southern Link section of Melbourne’s City Link. Sovereign Concrete is contracted to manufacture some 950 road barriers, 280 bridge parapets and 60 pits.
Northern Hume Alliance - Leighton Contractors
Leighton Contractors as part of the Northern Hume Alliance are contracted to duplicate 35 km of the Hume Highway between Tarcutta and Holbrook in southern New South Wales. The project estimated to be worth $300 – $400 million is expected to be complete by late 2009. Sovereign Concrete are manufacturing 112 bridge parapets for two bridges and have supplied some 10 km of J-J Hooks safety barriers.
Palmers Road Project - Winslow Projects
The Palmers Road Project is a $29 million project to construct two bridges, one over the Princes Freeway at Point Cook and one over the nearby Skeleton Creek. Sovereign Concrete are supplying 82 bridge parapets, 55 road barriers, 28 split level median barriers and 50 stormwater pits.
